Hello! I am so happy you are here.
My name is Renna, the heart and hands behind Paint It Forward.
I created this passion project turned small biz in 2019 and it has been the best adventure ever since!
In a nutshell, I was born and raised on Long Island, New York (minus the strong accent), graduated from
James Madison University (Go Dukes!), and have called the City of Brotherly Love home for eleven years and counting.
I am passionate about serving others and finding creative ways to connect with people of all ages. This resonates through my work as an elementary school social worker, and of course through the mission of Paint It Forward.
I first started learning all about lettering while working at a local stationery store, eventually teaching workshops and creating fun chalkboard signage. Since then, I have been teaching myself (and falling completely in love with!) the art of modern calligraphy with lots of inspiration from fellow calligraphers + crafters along the way.
When I am not working or crafting, you can find me spending quality time with my family + friends, dancing, traveling, running, belting Broadway show tunes, and exploring the coziest coffee shops around the city.
I will also more than likely be eating mint chocolate chip ice cream (the green kind).
